I got into jewelry making -in a big way- about 10 years ago, and since then, have amassed quite a collection of beads and supplies.
A few years ago, my friend Liv gave me some really special little fruit beads… and I never used them because they always seemed TOO special! But now that spring is officially here, and I’m making work EVERY DAY, I think the time has finally come!
I thought I’d do a little research first, because I’m nerdy like that ;-) …so I’ve been putting together a Pinterest board of all my favorite vintage fruits! (The board started out focused on jewelry, but expanded to other vintage fruit images/patterns & products when they were too good to pass on):

And this evening I did a few design sketches.
Stay tuned to see which design(s) I end up making! :-)
A finished pair of retro fruit earrings….
I’m wearing these babies out tonight, so I’ll see if I can get a pic of ‘em in action! ;-)
Today I reworked my recent strawberry earring design.
I wanted the new version(s) to be lighter in weight, so instead I used little hearts for the strawberries <3
If you’re interested in purchasing them, I made 2 pairs of each design, which are for sale in my Etsy Shop!
Wouldn’t they be cute to wear to a picnic or BBQ?
